Shore Porters Assist Newly Refurbished Gallery

Shore Porters were recently on hand to assist with the relocation of a piano to the newly refurbished Aberdeen Art Gallery.

The move saw the 9 foot concert grand being moved from its temporary home in the city’s Castlegate area, back to its permanent place of residence on the stage inside the iconic Cowdray Hall. This project was part of the latter stages of the huge upgrade to the hall and adjoining Aberdeen Art Gallery which is due to reopen in November 2019.

Richard Henderson of Shore Porters said, “It’s a great privilege to be called upon to carry out this work by the local authority. The piano in question required careful dismantling, handling and reassembly upon delivery. To be trusted by the city council to undertake the moving of such a valuable piece through a newly refurbished building is a fantastic tribute to our staff. This is yet another example of the type of work that Shore Porters are entrusted to carry out on a regular basis, alongside domestic removals all over the UK and worldwide.”
